Several years ago we started to capture clips with our digital compact cameras (e.g. IXUS 40) in our skiing holidays. Great! Nice movies from quick downhill runs and the like, but unfortunately mostly severely jiggled.
My first serious attempt to tackle this problem was to construct a box which contained a old SCSI 10000RPM double height hard drive and a laptop battery. Unfortunately the switch was accidentally switched on during the travelling to the skiing resort and the Li-Io battery died before I could try it seriously. Apart from that the contruction was pretty heavy and not quite handy.
Since my skills are more on the software side I decided to write a plugin for transcode - the legendary Swiss army knife for video processing. Here we are!
